Annual Service Speaks Conference
Service Speaks is an annual conference that highlights the service learning and community engagement work of DePaul students and community partners. Each year, over 3800 DePaul students help to build the capacity of our community partners through community-based service-learning courses, internships, and community-based research.
Mikki Kendall, author of Hood Feminism and graduate of DePaul (MA in Writing and Publishing in Writing and Publishing, 2014), has accepted DePaul’s invitation to speak at Service Speaks on May 20, 2022 at the Lincoln Park Student Center. Kendall’s book calls us to address systemic oppression and racism through work for girls’ and women’s agency related to gun violence, hunger, education, housing, reproductive justice, bipoc and politics, and more.…
2022 SERVICE SPEAKS
On Friday, May 20, 2022, the conference was in person at the Lincoln Park Student Center from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The conference was​ followed by a keynote event featuring Mikki Kendall, DePaul alumna and author of Hood Feminism.
